Caldwell County Arts presented a virtual Christmas program in December 2020 on the Caldwell County Arts Facebook page. The annual event had to develop a new platform for the annual live Christmas chorus program because of the Covid-19 pandemic and CDC recommendations.
Local musicians and singers shared their renditions of popular Christmas songs. Beginning on Sunday, Kathleen Cramer, Terri Henry, and Dennis Morlan were featured, with Terri on piano and Dennis on guitar. Steve and Carol Hendrix and family shared songs on Monday, Tuesday’s show featured Kirk and Mary Lee with songs and guitar accompaniment. Richard and Shari Lee sang on Wednesday with Richard and their grandson, Colby, playing guitars. Pastor Jenn Klein and Leanne Jornes sang on Thursday. Blythe Snyder Heits shared songs on Friday. The videos can be found on the Caldwell County Arts YouTube Channel. In addition, Kim Evans Carson and the Truman High School TruTones shared Christmas songs on YouTube which CCA presented on the CCA Facebook page.
CCA partnered with Missouri Arts Council to share this musical program. Viewers were encouraged to donate to the Caldwell County Food Bank to support their efforts during this challenging time.
CCA is grateful for all the people willing to give their time and talent to help bring cheer at Christmas through music.
