Caldwell County Arts was happy to have the Student Art Show in person again in 2022 after a 2-year break because of Covid concerns. Artwork of students from Polo, Hamilton, Breckenridge, and Mirable schools was displayed at the Polo Community Center April 1-2, 2022.
Ribbons and prize money were awarded. High School art students judged the elementary and middle school entries, and a local art teacher judged the high school entries. Rebecca Grinlinton from Polo had the Best In Show Award with her blue-ribbon entry in drawing. OliviaWolf(Polo) Sculpture/Ceramic, Hali Allred(Breckenridge) Watercolor, Celeste Harris(Polo) Photography, and Josselyn Masterson(Polo) Mixed Media were also awarded blue ribbons. First place winners in Middle School were: Dani Mckee(Polo), Abagail Tipton(Hamilton), Jackson Ebert(Polo), and Serenity Meyer(Polo). Elementary students awarded a blue ribbon included: Quinn Morgan, Hope Raby, Taylor Sink, Ava Stuerke, and Bella Hernandez from Polo; Victoria Newman, Jacob Dominguez, and Evelyn Claypool from Hamilton; and Kate Bartalos and Lucas Mensing from Mirable.
There were many visitors to the art show Friday night from 6:00-8:00, and Saturday from 9:00-12:00. This annual event is supported by the Missouri Arts Council and Caldwell County Arts.
